In the spring of 1868, the residents of Wisbech, England were in a panic after numerous sightings of a ghostly figure known as “Old Shuck”. According to tradition, this terrifying apparition was a large, black dog with blazing red eyes who wandered the countryside at night, causing the locals to hide and tremble in fear. Some even claimed to hear a loud groaning noise as he passed.
The St. Augustine Lighthouse in Florida is said to be haunted by the ghost of a young girl. The story dates back to 1873 when a two-year-old girl, who was the daughter of the lighthouse keeper, died in an accident. Since then, many visitors to the lighthouse have reported seeing a girl in a white dress, playing near the edge of the water, as if nothing has happened.
Manresa Castle in Washington state is said to be filled with paranormal activity. Legend has it that she died in the hall in the 1760s after being locked away in the attic. Visitors to the hall claim they have seen the figure of a woman in a brown dress gliding down the stairs and corridors of the building.
