That said, we still want to get to know all about you and your business and so when we undertake your Squid PR, we'll send you over an interview style questionnaire. This will be published on our site as an introduction to let us and our audience know who you are, what you do and what you do and be a "Featured Interview" which also stands out on the home page

In the meantime, we get sent hundreds of queries from Jounalists everyday looking for collaborators to speak on certain subjects or to interview indivuduals in certain fields/ with certain expertise. Often, not in an entirely disimmalar way that we would "interview you". 

We'll send you over any queries that seem apt for you. If at any point theres anything extra that you find yourself willing to speak on then don't hesitate to let us know.

Now, here's what really sets us apart...

In the interest of honesty and transparency, you won't get published every single time by journalists, and worse still? The majority of the time, they won't let you know if you've been chosen or not. While we would love to be able to change this system, unfortunately, that's just beyond our scope. Journalists can take a few days to get back to us or they can take months.  

What we can do though, is offer you a "Promise to Get Published". What this will mean is that if we (and therefore you) haven't heard back from the journalist within 2 months to say that they are planning to publish your content, then we will publish it for you. This means that you won't have wasted time putting together journalist enquiries, when you're not sure if your hard work will pay off.

  • We'll start off by doing an interview in your own time, this will help us to get to know you, your business and your brand/ service.
  • Once this has styled up, we'll publish as an official interview on our website.
  • While all of this is going on, we receive hundreds of "Queries" from jounalists everyday. Based on what you've put in your interview along with any other documentation you've provided us with, we'll be able to use this to send across queries from journalists.
  • As mentioned no one knows your business like you, so as response that comes from you will be far better than we could ever right.
  • That said, we'll check it for spelling and grammar. You need to ensure that it's factually correct though.
  • We'll the send it off to the journalist. If we get a reply saying that they plan or have published you, we'll let you know straightaway. If your response hasn't been published within 2 months then we'll publish it on Screaming Squid for you. Either way, you get published.

This varies from one query to another. Sometimes, if we're lucky we get a week or so, most of the time we get a couple of days, however the deadline will always be outlined with any queries.

One thing you should note is that most queries are based in EST time zone.

This completely depends on you and what you're willing to speak on, along with what queries we get sent. It's also worth mentioning what position you hold in a business along with any accreditations you have because occasionally we get queries for specific fields.

Some businesses are multifaceted and can speak on various subjects whereas other businesses are completely niche so won’t be able to cover various subjects like the above. Either way, queries will be handpicked for you and your business along with anything else you advise you’re able to speak on.

Then, please, say as much. We may have misunderstood something, or something may have been sent in error. Either way, we would want to know

Not at all, we'll proof read anything that you send over before sending it over to journalists. Just ensure that it's factually correct.

If successful, some might reply within 24 hours while others might take months. If your response isn't successful then we probably won't hear anything back. We will ensure to keep you updated with any feedback we receive though.

  • Make sure you answer the query in an informative manner
  • It shouldn't be published in any other major or similar publications.
  • Try not to be overly self promotional. As far as the reporter is concerned, this isn't about you. It's about your input.
  • Include hyperlinks to your social platforms (such as Facebook and LinkedIn) , and website
