RocketBook Review

Another honest review from me, Miss Squid! Another gift I received for Christmas was a Rocketbook Core. To be fair, I had asked for it, however wasn’t sure if my family would understand it enough in order to actually get me one. My sister got this for me.
The RocketBook could easily pass for a normal notepad. The only thing that makes it a little bit different is that there is a QR code in the corner of the pages, however, it’s designed to be so small in comparison to the size of the rest of the page that it doesn’t affect usability at all.

Instructions
First things first, I actually read the instructions. Not something I usually do but I figured I ought to on this occasion as I didn’t want to risk using it wrong. The nice thing about the instructions is that they are fairly comprehensive without being too in depth. As users, we don’t need to know all the science behind it. We, essentially, just need to know how to use it properly and RocketBook has made the instructions concise but not overly comprehensive. They tell you how to use your RocketBook in just three 5x7in pages with a sleekly designed cover.
The RocketBook that I got was Executive size and for good reason, portability. I’m constantly taking notes at work and constantly having ideas at home, I just need somewhere to jot them all down quickly and easily. However, I don’t want to be lugging a big old pad with pages that I need to go through and rip out as they’re no longer apt or pages getting dog eared in my Mary Poppins handbag. I just need a versatile pad that I can jot things down on as they come to me on an appropriate list or update colleagues or even a drive. It seems like I can do all of this with the RocketBook.

Having read the instructions, it seems that the RocketBook is the perfect blend of technology and easy to do note taking. The pages do just feel like regular paper, just slightly thicker. The RocketBook comes with its own special pen and microfibre cloth for jotting down notes and then when you’re done with that page wiping it down with the cloth which should be dampened before use. The RocketBook also has its own app to easily transform your notes into a digital format.
You can add a number of different recipient “accounts”, however, these don’t just have to be e-mails. They could be GoogleDrive, Evernote, Dropbox, Onenote, Onedrive, Trello, Slack, Box, iCloud, messages or any e-mail address of your choice. What’s more, you can set a subject or document title by surrounding your text with two hash tags either side, so, for example, it could be written as “ ##To Do List## “ and your document will automatically adopt that as a title. Keep in mind that I don’t have the best handwriting and it still worked for me!

eco-friendly
One of the most eco-friendly features of the Rocketbook is that it's reusable. All I have to do is wipe the pages clean with a damp cloth, and it's like I have a brand new notebook to use all over again. This is especially useful for someone like me who tends to make a lot of notes based on a number of different things.

Overall, I highly recommend the Rocketbook to anyone who loves the convenience of technology but still values the tactile experience of writing with pen and paper. It's truly a game-changer!
