It was a cold weekend, the workspace itself was freezing owing to the fact that the heating wasn't working and Mr Squid kept getting his cheek licked by our work mascot.
It had been a particularly brutal weekend, where both Mr and Miss Squid kept saying "we just need one more hour and then we'll be done", followed by thinking of something else that
needed doing before the website needed launching.
Originally planning on launching on Friday night, however given everything that we kept thinking of to do to make the site as user friendly (for you- you're welcome), and owing to the fact that we did also need to sleep as we were starting to fall asleep at our keyboards.
Mr and Ms Squid got a few hours rest and then in the cold light of day, resumed the hustle, Mr Squid sure that we'd get everything done that we needed by 10pm, Miss Squid a little more dubious given everything that had already come up.
It was around 3am on Sunday 11th December that finally the site launched. This labour of love was finally coming together and was ready for the public eye.
We had promised to have a fruity cider once we set it live and we stayed true to our word. Addled with exhaustion and anticipation together, we sipped our fruity ciders and celebrated bringing together the collaborative ideas that we had thoughtfully planned out together.
We then discussed what we were doing next to keep things going with
Screaming Squid and how to make it even better and already have a tonne of ideas in the pipeline that we won't hesitate to execute.
